Following last year’s acclaimed London run and this year’s rabidly received residency in Downtown Los Angeles, the iconic gates of Kong – the fabled home of Grammy-winning British band Gorillaz – will open once more when the celebrated immersive exhibition House of Kong lands at the Agger Fish Building in Brooklyn. This limited, one-time-only run begins September 1 and concludes the morning of September 28 — the day before Gorillaz return to headline Madison Square Garden.

House of Kong’s New York run begins a little more than two weeks ahead of the September 17 kick-off of Gorillaz’ 2026 North American tour. The band’s first extensive North American trek since 2022, the tour will bring the Gorillaz live experience hailed by ROLLING STONE as “an overwhelming pop spectacle, with Damon Albarn’s steady presence to keep the audience focused” to these shores for 22 sure-to-be-unforgettable arena dates (plus a headline appearance at the Shaky Knees festival). One person who won't need a post-show workout is Jamie Hewlett […]He's roving the stadium with a camera crew, shooting a documentary commemorating this one-off event.Ambitiously, the end result will show the human musicians mingling with their cartoon counterparts (2-D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel), meaning every shot has to be meticulously mapped out."The aim is to reveal what it takes to put on a show like this," he says."We have artists filming themselves getting on planes from different parts of the world, then everybody coming together here in Tottenham, the arrival of the fans, the Gorillaz show, and the aftermath, when there's only empty beer cups left."
