July 2023

Throwing this info out here for anyone who may not have known! Previously, the consensus seemed to be that only the CD and the original 2005 vinyl pressing of Demon Days had proper song transitions.

However, @kiro confirmed that the picture disc pressing DOES have them! I just picked up a copy from a record store and confirmed the same.

You can still find this for sale in a lot of places at a reasonable price. So if you’ve been holding off on picking up Demon Days on vinyl because of the song transitions…wait no longer!

Cracker Island turns one year old 🎉

I'm unsure if this is recent or not, but I was notified that Gregory Hergert, one of the many collaborators featured in The Gorillaz Art Book, has three original pieces as seen in said book for sale.
So if you happen to be a fan of Gregory's and rich, have fun!

In other news, the one and only Denholm Hewlett, Director of Reject False Icons, has joined us here on GU! @denholm3645 has been kind enough to offer to answer any and all questions we have about RFI. If you have something you want to ask, head over to #denholm-qna!

We can put one thing to rest already: it's been confirmed for us that "London" was the original name for "Fireflies."

And please do not reach out to Denholm via DMs/private messages. He has come here to share his knowledge with us, let's show him the respect of not annoying him for it 🙂 (edited)

Looks like the QnA has concluded!
