Final part of Murdoc’s Spotify show / Blur at the Brits

Murdoc Pirate Radio part 3
The third and final part of Murdoc’s latest Pirate Radio was released on Spotify yesterday (Monday), this latest installment brings the total time up to 3 hours for the whole thing if you include the played songs. As of yesterday, the full Playlist for episode 3 was not on Spotify and you have to search for Gorillaz on Spotify to find the parts of Pirate Radio 3. If you’re not in an area with Spotify, Droid once again sends an mp3 of just Murdoc’s comments (no music) here. No new story development this time but plenty of jokes and a re-telling of the Phase 3 story. Interestingly, Murdoc used the same words as Damon did in one of his recent NME interviews when talking about the future of Gorillaz.. we’re wondering who copied who! Even though this is the last part of the radio show, further Gorillaz Spotify updates are promised for the next 2 weeks.

US chart news
It appears the Singles Collection did not chart on the US Billboard 200 in its first week of release. (thanks laundro!)

Blur to be honoured at the 2012 Brits
Damon’s band Blur are to receive this year’s Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution To Music at the 2012 Brit Awards in London on February 21st at London’s O2 Arena. The band’s website is also getting a relaunch. The Brit awards are the UK music industry awards.

EDIT: (11:15AM GMT) Apologies for the ‘Converse pics’ mention in the headline – we were kindly sent a link to a blog with more pictures of the Gorillaz Converse shoes but the blog post with pics has now been deleted. Anyone with any further pics of Gorillaz Converse, send them in and we’ll post them up.
