Gorillaz tour news – more definite details (UPDATED)

nme.com reports here that the Gorillaz will take to the road for a worldwide tour in 2007. The tour will feature the Gorillaz ‘appearing on stage in 3D holographic format’. The tour may take place as a series of residency runs at theatres while the jaunt moves across the globe. It is still undecided whether the shows will feature live musicians or the pre-recorded material.

A showcase event in which the group will perform a version of ’Feel Good Inc.’ will be held in London at the end of October – possibly at The Gold Badge Awards (this still unconfirmed).

update 07/09/05 17:41 GMT: The NME were reporting solely from an article in the UK Music business magazine ‘Music Week’. The Music Week article has some subtle, but important differences of emphasis.
