Sound Check (Gravity)

From the original Gorillaz-Unofficial.com, captured December 2006. View the original ↗

Haunting track with two main sections: Damon and acoustic guitar versus Hip Hop Jam with full scratching and synthed strings a la Deltron3030. Works beautifully together and one of the best tracks on the debut album.

Official song credits

Written by Gorillaz
Performed by Gorillaz
Produced by Dan The Automator and Gorillaz
Co-produced by Tom Girling and Jason Cox
Engineered by Tom Girling and Jason Cox
Pro-Tools by Tom Girling

Versions & availibility

Sound Check (Gravity) [4:41] – available on all versions of the debut album, Gorillaz , and also on the Celebrity Take Down DVD.

Live

Played live at all the dates on the Phase One tours. The live visuals were a series of layers of Gorillaz images sliding over and under each other, with flying bullets and expanding squares, ripples and gasmasks in the loud part.
