Murdoc Is God

Murdoc has talked about his wish to start a metal band. This song is a step in the right direction for eager Murdoc. With unisnpirated lyrics and loud guitar and bass, I think Murdoc is liking the whole idea. But, we’ll see if fictive Murdoc will ever reach anything else alone or with his metal band. I mean, he thought about his metal band, like, four to six years, and it only brought him this B-side. The loud guitar and bass cover the voacals. So, there are many interpretations for the lyics. They might be “Murdoc is gay, Murdoc is dead”, “2D is gay, Murdoc is king” and lots of others. This whole lyrics thing has started its own life. Yeah, as if Murdoc died a time ago (The Beatles reference?), and now he’s a zombie… and, er, while you’re at it, 2D and Russel are zombies too, why not? Zombies are cool. No, we’ll keep the lyrics to “Murdoc is dead (2x)” without any thoughts entangled to it. For instance, the reason that Gorillaz told us about them being gone for four years didn’t match with the info we received at that moment: They told us that there was some crime comitted in Kong Studios. They’ve never told what was the story behind this whole bomb disposal thing. So it’s likely they’ll never tell the story behind this B-side.
