New Damon interview with the Irish Times – reveals ‘Rocketjuice And The Moon’ album name

The Irish Times published a new interview with Damon today and you can read it on their website here.

It’s a nice interview but not too much new is revealed, except that the record he’s been working on with Tony Allen and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers now has a title – ‘Rocketjuice And The Moon’. No release date has yet been given for the record, which is ‘mostly instrumental’ and has been in the works since at least 2009, when it was first mentioned by Damon. An autumn release date for the album was mentioned by Damon in an earlier interview but now it is looking unlikely it will be out in 2011 – but we’ll keep you update with any news. Damon also confirms that he will be performing material from Rocketjuice And The Moon along with Tony and Flea, at the Honest Jons Chop-Up series of 4 dates, beginning in Cork, Republic Of Ireland, tomorrow night.
