rock2dream and others send the news that today the website drcmusic.org had a full launch and announced details of the album release. The site clarifies that ‘DRC Music’ refers to a collective gathered by Damon Albarn. “The collective comprises the eclectic production talents of: T-E-E-D (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs), Dan The Automator, Jneiro Jarel, Richard Russell, Actress, Marc Antoine, Alwest, Remi Kabaka, Rodaidh McDonald and Kwes, with album artwork by Hardy Blechman and Aitor Throup”. The album from this collective is called ‘Kinshasa One Two’ and it will be released digitally by Warp Records on 3rd October 2011 with a CD/vinyl release to follow on 7th November, to benefit Oxfam.

On the site you can find many pictures of the album formats, three songs up for streaming including ‘Hallo’, on which Damon sings (on Soundcloud here), and a charming three-minute trailer (on Youtube here) showing the collective including Damon, working on the album in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic Of Congo.
